I was down the range earlier whacking some balls when I see the pro I had a few lessons off last summer. Thought if he had time it may be good to get a refresher. He had 15 mins so offered his time for free (must remember to pick up a bottle)

he said he couldn't believe the changes I'd made and was impressed the way I'm heading. He gave me a swing thought of the back swing and also the follow through. Alls going great with the world, then he said it

due to the lack of time, I won't tell you what you're doing wrong because it'll destroy your game!

Talk about coming down with a bump!! Why?

Why say anything at all if he thought you were doing all right. Sounds like a sneaky tout for repeat business but fair play for giving you some time for free

Not sure it came across like that, was more of a throw away comment. hes a good guy, I really doubt he said it for more business

I suspect the pro was only being honest possibly too honest but surely that would be the opinion of most of our swings if they were reviewed by an expert eye.
