Why are forum posts cleared so quickly?

This is not a bug, just a question.

Why are forum posts cleared so quickly? I've posted a couple of things in 'ask the experts' and a few days later they are gone.

Aside from making it difficult to see replies it makes it hard to comment on other people's posts and it seems like the forum is really empty / inactive.

Am I missing something here?

Hi Doug..

If you go into the settings tab, click "General settings", then change the "Default thread age cut off date" to a longer time-frame, you should see older threads.. :thup:

Note, the General Settings option is on the left side of the screen and the Default thread age cut off is near the bottom of the subsequent screen..

Aha, perfect, thanks for that, just what's needed. As a user who's relatively familiar with forums, may be advantageous to bump the default, to keep people coming back.
