Not sure it will ever have the cachet of a Ryder Cup. It rates alongside the Seve trophy as a meaningless team event shoe horned in for the benefit of TV

I will be watching, it may not be the Ryder cup but there should still be a lot of good golf. The internationals need a win to keep the match's interesting. Match play is always good to watch no matter if it is a made for tv event.
