What a couple of months!

The wife has had her heart set on moving to Lincolnshire for family reasons and it's finally happening.

Major reshuffle at work means that I had to reapply for my job. I was thinking of leaving anyway when the move happened but as it turns out, I have been given an enhanced redundancy package which is awesome. just getting the CV up to date to start looking for jobs.

The house went on the market last week and we accepted an offer 3 days later.

The wife is at a job interview down there today which she is quietly confident about.

What seemed to be a really finicky change has somehow come good and all seems to be tying in to a move down in August so that the boys can start a new school year down there.

All we have to do now is find digs in or around Spalding.

There goes the neighbourhood

Best of luck mate!

Shame you're moving to Spalding though, you'll be on Adey's radar :-/ ;)

Lincolnshire's a lovely part of the country though...I love going back there to visit family and friends.

Good luck on all fronts, we're desperate to move house towards West Kilbride or Largs but sadly our house ain't shifting. Its good to hear that some people are having luck in the housing market. The fact that you now have no chain also puts you in a really strong position to buy.

Good luck mate. Nice to see someone winning. We tried it a few years ago with a move to North Yorkshire. It didn't quite work for us, but you look like you've got it beat..

Hope it continues to go well for you and it all works out as you wish it to...

Been looking at Lincolnshire ourselves as a possible retirement destination... Sadly Ive had my head turned with the offer of some additional filthy lucre to remain working for another year or two... So plans for a move are on hold for the time being... Told there is some good golf to be had in the region...

nice one Cameron, Adey will sort you out and his course is decent aswell, was quite jealous of the setup when I played there a little while back.

Easier for forum meets down sarf aswell!

good luck and I am sure it will all go swimmingly

I only have one left but it's an XXXXL :)
You better sell your driver and 3 wood if you join Spalding, you wont need them.
Good luck with the move

I am sure in a rival golf mag this month there's a section on Lincs golf where some locals talk about the best courses etc etc. I seem to remember Woodhall Spa came out best as expected, but there's some other nice ones.

I can vouch for Forest Pines as long as you dont go on the weekend as it's full of people on golf breaks. You're also not too far from some cracking courses on the North Norfolk coast. Enjoy
