Hi,

with the world no 1 spot changing again , who if anyone do you think is going to dominate the sport in the next few years?

Just intrested in your views.

Cheers

Midnight...

I don't think anyone will dominate in the manner that Tiger did.
Kaymer, Westy, Luke, Gmac, Rory, Fisher, Rosie, Brothers Molinari to just name a few of the Europeans who will compete. Add in the likes of Fowler, Bubba, Mahan from the US and Oosty, Schwartzel + many more from the rest of the world, I can't see anyone being dominant. And I'm sure I've missed out plenty.
The old guard is dying off, slowly, but dying off all the same. The end of the road is nigh for Tiger, Phil, Ernie, Vijay, Stricker etc etc.

I think with the current crop of talent its hard to call.

But if I was to have a flutter Id say the next two years will see Ricky Fowler really kick on up the rankings. I can see him challenging for a Major this year.

Next I can see Homer turning pro and possibly a late surge from Kid2 :)

Imurg, I wouldn't disagree with your thread in principle, however I have an issue with Ross Fisher at present, I just feel he's hit a plateau and may even be in decline. I know he's a young family now which will take its toll so hopefully its just a form dip.

I like Fisher and his game so fingers crossed he gets back to his potential soon.

I can see Kaymer being number one for a good while if I'm being perfectly honest.

Agree with Crawford on Ross Fisher. Great guy, showed some promise, and then he had that mishap at Turnberry, and he seems to have stalled since then.

I'm hoping he comes good because he seems like a nice fella.
