As someone who ends up in the rough quite often I've just bought a box of yellow Srixon AD333's in the hope that they might stand out more when I'm searching for them.

Does anyone on here use yellow balls and find them easier to spot?

ive a mate that uses a yellow ball and i think its harder to find in the rough tbh, easier to follow in the sky in murky conditions though.

Much depends on the type of course I guess, lots of beige foliage off the fairway and it'll be no easier to spot yellows

Normally only use yellow balls on the range or as part of fun team comp when it counts double etc

On range they are just as hard to see as the grass is often burnt and they're tough to spot

yes use both at times, as long as a premium ball what colour it is doesnt overly fuss me. Quite nice using a diff colour to everyone else as then know which is mine when walking up to balls when close together. No easier to find though imo

I use yellow balls wouldn't say the are any easier to find in the rough or on the course lol. I just like to use them as they different find them easier to see in the air than white balls. Also most of my playing partners use white balls so I always know which is my ball.

I'm planning on getting a sleeve or two (or three) for club champs next month

Schoolboy logic suggests that often I concentrate more with a yellow ball on the course ;)

Yellow golf balls are wrong, all golf balls should be white.

That aside, yellow balls are no easier to find in the rough

Have used yellow balls before and find them harder to find in the rough, tried an orange one I found once these must be the easiest to find as I have only ever found one ;)

I use yellow FG Tours and generally find them easier to find especially at my home course where flowers in the rough are primarily white. Throws up an issue when on courses where there's loads of yellow flowers around though in which case white is easier to find. Also easier to follow flight in overcast conditions. Admittedly most courses now have rough so thick it wouldn't matter what colour ball was in play, finding is difficult regardless.

The problems comes in bright conditions where the yellow ball appears so bright it is actually a distraction. In these conditions I'll swap over to the white version of the ball.

Agree with above.

My view, as I've played yellow balls for several years, is that they are far better in spot in dull or rainy conditions. In bright sunny conditions, the same, maybe slightly worse? They are slightly easier to spot in the rough, only because if you see a yellow blob from a distance you know that 99% of the time, its yours! Similarly, it saves time when your PP look for your ball - no questions regarding what are you playing :D

Just finished a round with my new yellow srixons. Kind of ruined my mind set. They reminded me to much of range balls at approach.

Still managed to get in the 90's and had a birdie on the first hole! (That's a good round for me!!)

I'm using yellow z-star xvs just now and enjoying it. Easy to follow and its good knowing which ball on the green is mine. That said my regular PP hates them.

My FC uses yellow Z Stars as does Fundy - if it gives them confidence using them then away they go - colour does really matter

Don't play Coombe Hill with a yellow ball. Their 18th hole is the practice ground, and the fairway is covered in hundreds of yellow practice balls.
