Which wet weather glove?

Played today and although my waterproofs kept the rain out my Footjoy wet weather glove really struggled! It almost got too wet and started to act like a sponge! My grip was terrible and ruined the round.

I usually enjoy playing in the rain and have not had trouble with the glove before. I washed and tumble-dried it recently could that have affected it?

I think a new one is in order. What do you guys use?

Wet weather gloves tend to grip better when wet. All weather gloves are just cheap man made material that is pretty useless when wet.

MacWets work great, wear both at the same time mate, that's how they're meant to be worn.

That said I've never worn the Srixon, Callaway or Footjoy ones, they may be just as good or even better. MacWets were the option when I bought them and I've had no cause to complain.

MacWets it is then!

Do any of you play with both wet weather gloves? Or just use the one?

It depends how wet it is. If it's just light drizzle then I stick with just the left but any more than that and they both go on. First time I wore them my mates gave me a bit of stick, asking if I thought I was Phil Mickelson (he wears both in the rain, even for putting). At the end of the round they all went online and ordered a pair...

I have the footjoy ones at the moment as I had to buy a new pair in a hurry and the place did not stock macwets.

The footjoy ones are OK and most won't notice the difference, I however having owened both prefer the MacWets and will go back when these wear out.

Whichever getting a proper set of wet weather gloves is essential, I play in the two even if it is dry but the course is wet or there is a chance of a shower, I don't take them off to putt either!

Every golfer should have a pair, preferably MacWets.

Think most will be giving their wet gloves of choice a good testing tomorrow. Depending on how hard it does come down tomorrow I might try and use one as normal and just swap every few holes. Don't really like using the Macwets unless necessary

I've scored ALL of my best competition scores wearing mac wets when it wasn't raining but either had been or there was a chance if.

I even won a scratch cup with then on!

Really they are as good in the wet as they are in the dry.

I find them a little large and loose when dry but super when wet as they mold to my hands, I played really well in them on the back 9 at Cooden on Friday in pouring rain.

Another vote for MacWets.

They are so good that after only a few shots, the question of whether or not the club will slip won't even enter your head.
