I guess a lot of us have video lessons with our coaches. But does your coach always use the same pro as a model for your swing to show you the positions etc ?

If so, what they using ?

Mine is currently using Brett Rumford as a model.

Brett's probably not the first Pro that would spring to mind with having a great swing, but his swing is simple and has good lines.

Last time i had a lesson, it was Martn Kaymer. Shows a good natural swing, with good width and high hands in the back swing, wich is what i have been working on.

I think its good to see which pro does the thingsyour working on, gives you a good reference for when your athome to have a look.

My pro never used another pro to compare me too. He just pointed out everything I was doing wrong on the screen and tried to address the main one

I can digest the information much better when I can see where I'm going wrong.

My Coach always uses me from another lesson... But I know he likes Lukes swing.

Mine just refers back to me in my first lesson and me now and points out the differences from there. It's hard to believe I can look so different in a matter of months.

they all have good lines near and through the impact area.......

..........any pro I've been to the last 5 years hasn't used one, as one said "I usually put up Tiger or Lukes swing as people like to be compared to the best, makes them feel a bit special" :smirk:

Lucky enough to have seen Rumford at my club from time to time practicing and it is superb. Even better is watching him chip, pitch and hit bunker shots. Very generous with his time too. If Brett isn't around my pro doesn't tend to compare me with too many pros as my swing is quirky and unique and we prefer to just watch what I'm doing and correct it from there

My first pro used to show me his sons swing but my new one references Justin Rose / Adam Scott. I prefer to be compared with the latter ;)
