My G10, I have decided, goes too high so gets caught in the wind.

I'm looking at a replacement and I've got my eye on 2.

1. Titleist 585H with either VS Proto or GD YS-6+ shaft
2. Cobra Baffler DWS with a VS Proto

I know some onhere have the Cobra and I think some may have the 585.

Can I have arguments for and against please?

Looking at lofts of around 20-24 degrees to knock it about 200 yards. I've tried both and can't make up my mind.

Just in front of centre for the most part but further forward for a higher and further back for a lower. I can sweep it like a wood or use it like an iron depending on what I want. Trouble is it just tends to go too high and stalls in the wind losing a bit of distance.

I do see people who, when playing into wind, tend to put the ball back in the stance and hit it harder.
Unfortunately, by putting the ball back in the stance,
1. the downswing becomes a bit steeper increasing the spin on the ball
2. If they hit harder that also increases the spin
and as some will know, the more spin, the higher it goes.
Now, I'm not saying you do this Imurg, but it might explain why the ball is stalling in the wind.
An alternative to buying another club is to try a different shaft with a higher Kick Point. If that doesn't help, try the Ping i10 hybrid. That will go lower than the G10 equivalent as the G10 is designed to help golfers get the ball up in the air.
To sum up, try the Ping i10 and dont force it into the wind.
It might also keep HID happy if she doesnt know you have bought another new club. (same head cover) ;)

I have the 585H. It has a more penetrating flight, and should be cheaper now the higher flying 909H is out.

However, the shaft makes a huge difference too. I have a steel DDR300 in mine. Same as my irons.

That said, this is the hardest hybrid to hit, and if you are not on your game, well, it is a liability.

Which Hybrid, you would be as well asking whats the best malt!!!!!!?????? You will get a million different answers.

Cobra Baffler, I could have cleared the Blackpool Tower with that club, ballooned like feck, couldnt keep it down if my life depended on it.

I have a little Wilson Df6 and its a little driller. Great for a low ball flight, £26 off of ebay and I've not looked back!

Oh, and in my opinion its a Glenlivet!

I have just bought a Yonex Cyberstar XC+. It has a great penetrating flight.

Malt - Tomintoul 16 yr, has to be the one but then I have a family connection to it.

Have you tried a small headed 7wood?I've got aRam Wizard
carbon shaft and if I take my time on the backswing then 200 is good(o.k....very good!)
BTW...Glen Ord 16y.o.(if she lets me!) ;)

Thanks for the offer Topcat, but I think 19 degree may be a step too far for me. And the stiff shaft wouldn't do me any favours either!

You know what I would recommened, Do you have the chance to try the two and compare?

Titleists I find start out low and penetrate, mine does. The shaft you mention in the titleist is the one I have, Tis just super for me.

What weight is the shaft. I am looking for a 21* rescue/utility with a 65g shaft, hard to find.

I've got a Cobra Baffler DWS 2R (18 degrees). Can keep it low or hit it high enough to clear the trees on the dogleg 10th depending on the tee position :). I have hit it 227 on occasion. Love it as a club, I was given a new 3 wood for Christmas, which I haven't got to grips with yet (only been able to use it a couple of times due to bad weather), so I still use the hybrid as I can control it much better.
