So my shotsaver snooper 400 seems to have stopped working. All the displays are there as you'd expect but the laser does pick up the flag, it does pick up large items but not the flag? Anyone else had this issue?

Anyway, it was £99 just over a year ago so it's probably paid its dues to me.

What else would you recommend? I don't have a massive budget though so a £250 plus laser is out. I'd like to stick with a laser though. Or should I look at a GPS. I think I'd like more than just F/M/B readings, can I be convinced otherwise?

Ash.

Not sure if its stopped working after just over a year Id describe it as having paid its dues. Personally Id go back to the manufacturer and see if there is anything they can do to repair it before I bought another one

Have had my bushnell 3 or 4 yrs and only had to replace the odd battery and would still expect it to work for years to come

Second hand Bushnell V2's go for a touch over 100 notes on a certain internet auction site and you can pick up GPS units for less.
I have a Garmin G3 as well - gives me f/m/b as well as bunkers etc....and they go for a little under a 100. No fees on that. Watches go for a bit more.

I've just got a bushnell GPS watch. Love it. Better than the more expensive garmin one. It gives yardages to hazards as well... Was £150 brand new....

The answer is both, my laser and gps cost under £170 for both of the aforementioned auction site

They are both useful for different circumstances

I worry about buying a laser second hand of ebay.
I'd love the bushnell hybrid but its just way out of the budget right now.

To be honest i'm not sure if still being sold but at the time I got mine there was a guy selling loads of V2's, not sure if repaired ones or what but a friend of mine got one and it lasted 8 months.

My Nikon can from a guy who had not had it long but never got on with it, it was nearly new when I got it. Worth taking your time if going second hand
