Hi all,
Can anyone suggest a good glove?
I know I am heavy on gloves, with them lasting anything between two days and two months. But this year I seem to going through gloves like others go through tees.
For the past year or so, I have been using Srixon all weather gloves, as they have been lasting better than the FJ's I previously used. But since receiving my last batch, which is this year’s model, they seem to melt on my hand.
And before anyone says, I do not have a tight grip, in fact, if anything, my grip is too loose.

There is obviously a fundamental problem with your grip for a glove to go after 2 days. I'd suggest getting a pro to check your grip out (my guess is too much in the palm of the hand and not enough in the fingers) to try and stop you having to buy gloves at such a rate.

If I was going to suggest anything I'd recommend something like the footjoy model which has the leather patch on the pad of the hand which might give you a bit more protection. Once you get your grip sorted I don't think you can go wrong with a leather grip in terms of feel and would suggest the Sciflex from footjoy

Knew that was coming. :D
I’ve had regular lessons for the past four years. At the last one two weeks ago, my pro said that my grip was good. But to be honest I have been told that I re-grip at the top of my backswing. This I feel is where the problem is, I have tried firming up the grip, that is not tighter , but more constant pressure.

The Mizuno glove below is bloody bullet proof.

Not sure about it lasting longer but the Srixon carbretta glove is superb value at £7.99 from direct golf. Madandra is right about the mizuno as well I was about to recommend that as a long lasting glove. My regular partner has had his for nearly 2 months with hardly any sign of wear.

I agree with Homer though what it is I am not sure but getting through a golf glove in 2 days is ridiculous.

madandra converted me to the Mizuno Exoflex, they are great and by far the best glove I have used, I even tried my Srixon leather one and it just didnt do it.

IMO srixon gloves are Naff. Callaway warbird gloves are good value, 2 for about £12 but dont last that long. Few months for me.

Best Gloves I have had are Callaway Tech Series. £9.99

I like the Mizuno Exo-flex and had one on Madandra's suggestion. I didn't last that long, I ripped it last week. But, I did find my grip had got a bit skewed, and that might be responsible.

I bought the 2 pack warbird gloves and so far, so good. It has a rubbery section (in grey) where I was having trouble with wearing and blistery problems. I'm not expecting it to go on for that long....previous Callaway's have not, but i.m.o. if you get 10 good rounds or more, it's not an expensive thing and a new glove really does feel good. Just becuuse a glove seems to go on forever, doesn't mean you get a tight fit and tacky grip on the club.

I bought a glove off t'internet, never again....not a good fit. Anyone for a free Taylor Made ML left hand (for right hand golfer).......hardly used.

Have you tried not wearing one. Your hand will soon harden up, and it does reveal any short comings in your grip. Loads of people don't wear gloves any way, and it will save you money.

Another thing is to take it off between shots in hot weather. Sweat will kill a glove just as quickly as wear.

Add the fact I have a brown left arm and a white left hand!!!!

In fact that is my current glove, and it has lasted quite a few weeks. However, it was this year Srixon's which I purchased a pack of three, all gave up on the finger almost straight away.

I am now trying to position the grip higher on my finger to stop the wear.

i have gone back to mizuno. i had invested in a footjoy but it went very loose in the palm after a couple of rounds, where as the mizuno stays nice and tight.

I use the callaway tour-series. its the best glove out there for me but its is also the worst for durability so dont go for it because at 13-14 quid a shot they aint cheap. i tried the srixon cabretta leather ones after a suggestion on here but they stretched far too much, even after jut one round.

Those mizuno gloves are supposed to be good but I juist cant get away with the look of them, the black palm is a bit of a turn off if im honest.

Cheap as chips , under £3 at sports world .Tried premier brands at various prices but didn't find them worth the extra money . At £3 a pair it doesn't matter if they only last a few weeks .
When they get too worn for golf i use them to clean the alloy wheels on my cars ! With a trickle from the hose use a gloved hand to wash them . Far easier than sponges or brushes :D
