I'm gonna go out and get myself a new console ready for Tiger Woods 2012 Augusta

Question is which one? Xbox 360 or Playstation?
My mates are split half and half so that aint gonna decide it.

Last time i played any games was on me old spectrum 128k. Tapes would load up while i was having me tea lol.
So a bit out of touch.

Any help appreciated boys, cheers.
Jim.

Whatever you do don't get it on the Wii!!!

I had it on the Wii and thought it was the best game and console for it. However, my 'natural' golf swing would not make the ball go in the direction i was aiming. So I would have to swing awkwardly on the Wii and around that time I lost my game for about 18 months. It may not have been the Wii thing at all but that's all I can base it on.

I am useless anyway.

Depends on your needs.

If you just want a gaming console, the 360 is cheaper and will do the job.

If you want a full media centre and blu-ray player, the PS3 is a no-brainer.

I have the PS3 and as well as gaming I use it for Blu-Ray and also as a wireless media server streaming films and music from my laptop (so someone can be using the laptop as normal without interruption, it just accesses the files and plays them on the PS3). Oh and you also get compatibility with BBC iPlayer, 4OD and ITV Player so you can watch on demand tele on your tele and not on your laptop. Oh and also there's LoveFilm support, so if you have a LoveFilm account you can stream LoveFilm films for free too.

Plus, the PS3 exclusive games appeal to me more than the 360 ones.

PS3 all day long. The built in BluRay alone makes it a no brainer. Get a Playstation Move bundle you'll need that for Tiger Woods.

No you won't.

The move function is great but the novelty will wear off after an hour and you'll want to go back to controlling the swing with a standard controller, sat down on the sofa.

If I want to imitate a real swing, I'll do it out on the golf course for proper! Gaming is supposed to be lazy! :D

Got to be PS3 for all the reasons listed above!

Forgot about the blu ray, thats pretty much sold it for me. PLus when I think about it most of my golfing buddies have the ps3 which is ideal.

Can you play TW online?

Yes you can play it online and the good thing is you don't have to wait and watch everyone else play their shots. basically you get (upto) 4 different coloured lines showing the flight of you opponents ball.

Definitely a vote here for PS3, I used to have the Xbox but the fact that you had to pay for extra parts for online gaming and then pay an annual fee aswell turned me towards the PS3 which has wireless connectivity built in and no fees for online.

STOP PRESS: Aztecs too lazy to use Playstation Move for a more authentic Tiger Woods experience. World in shock but wandering if he'll change his mind if the R11 driver is in the game and he'll be able to hit it straight for once! :D

Im going to play it on the PC -

Oh wait i wont because little kiddies wont pester power mummy n daddy into buying it on the PC, like they do for every £45 console game for them

so they dont make it for that platform as its less profitable - even if they did it would be a lazy console port anyway

TW & EA can go S*** My D***

as u can see im passionate about my gaming :D

I have a PS3 and a 360.

All I use the PS3 for is BluRay...I hate it for gaming. 360 all the way.

Is the correct answer.
Xbox live is superb for finding a game, loads more people online.
I've got both and bought Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3 as it was supposed to be the dogs danglies. It is. As long as you don't go on-line.
All of my other games are Xbox and so will TW2012 if I get it. The controller for the 360 is much better as well. The PS3 one feels too light.
;)

Xbox 360 for me too. Have it upstairs with Sky Player installed and bingo, free Sky multiroom, plus you can watch tons of Sky Movies on it too.
