Where's Coverage of Ladies Tours in Latest Golf News?

Not knocking the coverage of the Men's Tours in this column - though it can spoil anyone who has recorded it for viewing later.

But there has been little/no coverage of the Ladies Tours. Admittedly the LET doesn't start until next week, but the LPGA has certainly started, with a Double Bogey on 17 costing the now de-spectacled Lydia Ko the win (and around $115k!).

But notably her finish was good enough to get her to #1 in the world. The youngest world #1 ever, male or female.
 
Another win - Australian Open!

Likely to be pretty dominant, so no reason not to expect confidence in Majors!
 
The reality is I've got limited resources so have to put them where the traffic is. I'm afraid start of season ladies golf isn't that place.
Even for the bigger events Majors Solhiem etc where we do have coverage the page view numbers are a fraction of what we'd get for ET and PGA Tour events
If you have recorded the golf and don't want to know the results then suggest you avoid the Internet full stop!

Worth remembering that Lydia Ko is the 'new phenomenon' - becoming #1 4 years younger than Tiger did. There's even a couple of other story-lines that could be followed in this case - the rise of another potential NZ based Korean heritage youngster (12 yo 'Little Lydia' Bohyun Park, who uses many of Ko's old clubs!), the continued rise of such stars (Aussie Su Oh and those who 'scared' the LPGA a few years ago), and Ko's maturity - her statement about retiring at 30 and participation in the NZ Open (Park won the qualifying for that) when she could have been playing in a much higher rated tournament in Thailand.

Without this sort of activity, Ladies Golf will remain the 'not that place'! And it deserves so much more than that. Charley Hull is certainly doing her bit for the UK and European Ladies too!

Most of the mags - and I'm afraid GM also falls into that category - have become rather 'formulaic' in their content, so rather dull with not a lot to differentiate one from the other! It's the reactive attitude shown by your comment about 'page views' that's driving this imo. Absolutely reasonable for the majority of content, but I believe there's a need for mags to be a little pro-active with some less widely covered areas like Ladies Golf. Ko's phenomenal rise and this year's Solheim (shame on you for the mis-spelling !!! :rolleyes:) Cup looks like a great opportunity to do so! Nicks article on here was/is good, so I hope it transfers to the mag!
