Me, Missis T and another couple are spending it in a cottage in a Derbyshire village for three nights. There's a local pub 300 yd away.
Berlin has been my fave new year up to yet followed by Amsterdam.

Birmingham for me and Mrs S this year, staying just off Broad St for all the pubs. Meal in Glyn Purnells on NYE and the zoo on the 1st.

Always go away for NYE, used to go on European city breaks but been doing the UK recently, everywhere from a converted mill in Derbyshire ( 1 mile walk along a river to pub) to a premier inn in Brighton

Booking a taxi for 4.00, get a good speck in a boozer to watch Liverpool vs city at 5.30, a few good beers afterwards, get a chippy (if still open) at 10.50, taxi back to the cottage for 11.15, to get back to the pooch, see the new year in in our jim jams.

Flippin Eck that's a game al miss.

There's a little beach front hotel about a forum 8 iron from my place and we've a table booked there that'll have a pretty good view (this place goes mad with the firework displays at New Year)
Long range forecast looks good and temp will be about 30 degrees dropping to 25 at midnight but they might have a dress code that night that'll stop me wearing shorts!

Hope everyone has a good one

Home, I've never been much of a New Year person, we'll sit up watching Graham Norton or something similar and just wish each other a happy new year and that'll be it.

Have to look after and keep an eye on Max also when all the fireworks go off, although he's been much better with them over the last year.

Italy for us this year, killing 2 birds with one stone. Me and the Mrs have looked at going away over new year for a few years now and this year Glasgow Warriors play Treviso on Hogmanay. Win win, away trip to see my team and away for New Year.

You do know that the game will not be on in the pub. They will be watching Thistle playing Clachnacudden.

Went up to Blairgowrie for a couple of years, got a bit of snowboadring in as well, always had a great time there until they turned the hotel into an old folks home.
Amsterdam which was combined for my 40th was, erm, a bit of a haze :D but brilliant. Them locals in the main square setting off fireworks at midnight, nutters.
Ain't really done a great deal for New Year since.

Me and Missis T thought the fireworks were mental. The following year we went to Berlin and it went up a massive notch. Watching fathers showing there kids how to safely light and throw fireworks was a sight to behold. That and watching the "Hoff" sing
