I am fortunate enough to have tickets for each day at Celtic Manor but wondered where the best place on the course is t watch the action?

Hi - I went to the Wales Open a few months back and walked the course. The best place I found was by the 6th tee as it is a great drive with water all down the right and a real tester! You can also see the 5th green which caught a few out, the Par 3 13th and driving off the 14th as well.

We stayed for a few hours on that spot to see all the players coming through.

The 15th is OK, but you can't see the tee from the green so you don't know who is 'going for it' and who is laying up.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I've read the guide in the magazine but it doesn't show the best vantage points. There's nothing better than getting advice from someone who has been there.

If your looking for souviniers, then many players switch balls every 3-4 holes so if u stand where the plays go tto the next tee, then u have a good chance of getting one !!!!

If you have a child with you, this works. If not, they tend not to hand over them over.

I saw one small lad with about 20 balls by the 17th green.

I've got tickets for the practice day on wedensday and for the friday so hopefully will be able to figure out on wedensday where the best places will be to watch from on the friday.
