Where to find Trackman

I've tried searching because I want to get on one too. I can normally find what I want by Googling but I'm coming up with nothing this time.

The only one I found is Precision Golf and they charge £80 which includes altering your clubs lofts if need be.

All I want is for someone to show me how it works then leave me a lone for an hour so I can hit full shots, knock downs, gripping down, opening the face etc.

If anyone knows of any near the Midlands I'd love to hear about it.

If you get the answer let me know Gary and Ill come and have an hour too

I remember James being interested too.

There used to be a place in Solihull that looked perfect. Not trackman but similar, but the website domain is now up for sale so I guess they've gone.

This is now a mission!

The more I think about it the more I can't believe there isn't a resource on the Trackman site to locate a course/range/whatever that has bought one for commercial use.

I might email them to see if they can help.

That sounds like it would be a good craic for a few hours when the weather is terrible. £60 for 3 hours divided between 6 or 8 people is not silly money either.

I cant believe that there is so few Trackman units in the UK. I deal with the UK distributer, I will send him an email now and see if he can be of some help. If a few of us are up for it we can get a days worth and have some fun.

Edit, Email sent, he is on the road alot, I will get back to you when he gets back to me.

I found a place in Derby.

Not Trackman, but not expensive and the simulator looks ok although I'm a sucker for good advertising.

Although usable they are at the total opposite spectrum to Trackman, alot of the stats are calculated on the 1st 2 meters of travel. you could stand at the range with some mates and learn as much imo.

This will sound weird but provided it's accurate to within a yard or 2 I'd rather have it calculated than physically measured.

If the whole flight is tracked I need to be hitting more or less the same ball I use on the course, and I'd have to wait for a warm day with no wind to get the figures I want.

If I know an 8 iron will go 118yds on a nice day with no wind, then I can work my club out from there taking into effect all the other factors on the course.

Thanks Alex. It'd be nice if there was somewhere closer. You'd think after spending all that money, anyone who has one would advertise it as much as possible.

A local-ish range has one for club fitting and I asked about hiring it and they looked at me like I'd just asked them for weasel on toast.
