Evening all, I'd like to try out a mixture of balls... ie pro v1, v1x, b330 tour, hex tours etc etc

does anyone know where I could buy a mixture? A sleeve of each would be ideal... I've gone to goggle but keep ending up on US sites.

Try Google mate

A difficult one if you want to try the balls at their best in new condition.

I'd recommend explaining your reasoning to a local pro or golf store and asking to try a selection without purchase on the carpet to get an idea for putter feel. From that you can hopefully narrow it down to a few sleeves (which shops often sell alongside boxes) to try outside on the greens and golf course.

If you have a massive range of possibilities to try then speak to the pro about your swing speeds and what you want from the ball (more yards, more accuracy, more feel etc). They'll be able to narrow your list down to what suits you.

What would help is if shops offered a bit of a deal on buying multiple sleeves of balls. If I buy 4 sleeves in a box of the same type, it is cheaper than buying 4 sleeves separately so would it not be possible to have a price saving on buying 4 mixed sleeves at the same time.

Couldn't agree more with you, hence starting this thread - I didn't think it would be so difficult to find an "easy" way of testing multiple balls.

What I've ended up doing is e-mailing a lake ball company and asking them if they'd make me up 2 dozen balls (of pearl grade) of 8 different balls (ie 3 balls of each type) - luckily they've been really helpful and are doing it for me now.

around our way we have guys who look for then sell balls other players have lost , they usually have a mixed bag of selection ,

buy a mix up of balls from them , find one or two brands you like , they wont cost much so you wont be out of pocket even with the ones you dont like .. cheapest and easiest way i think
