the two shots you lose for stroke and distance, or the thought that £3 of your hard earned Wonga has just disappeared in a bush?
 
The shots. I am not fool enough to pay £3 for a ball. If your first thought would be the cost of losing it you shouldn't tee it up.

They are only new until you hit the first shot so the dropped shots hurt most but to be honest I only lose between 3-4 balls a season.
 
The shots! And then I reload with another new ball.

I rarely buy new golf balls, having trained a the family to buy me balls for birthday, father's day, Xmas. 6 kids = 6 doz balls.
 
I got some of those free TaylorMade Lethals which I absolutely hate, so i can't wait to hit them into the bushes. Definitely the two shots that hurt the most.
 
Definitely the 2 shots for me too.

And I always tee up a new ball as a provisional, as someone else mentioned the provisional is always nailed centre of the fairway. Sometimes makes you want to just declare it lost from the tee box!

i love the lethals and the thought of you smashing them into bushes upsets me. want to do a deal? how many have you got?
