This was a new one on me. Wanted to buy a stocking filler from Iwantoneofthose.com and got a code through for 25% off today so thought I would get it bought. Now to use the code you have to access the web site through the link in the email. Fine, did that I found that the item I wanted was just short of 25% more expensive than shown on the normal web site that I had open on my phone. We are not talking massive amounts here but a saving of £2.50 became a saving of 50p. Very underhand and will be shopping for the item elsewhere now.

Same applies to a lot of Black Friday items. Which? pointed out this week that half of the "bargains" last year could have been bought cheaper before the day itself. You need to be savvy nowadays.

I thought you were going to say buying herself a new outfit as it was in a sale and real 'bargain'... Only to see when the next credit card statement arrives a very expensive pair of shoes listed... Apparently they were what were needed for the new 'bargain' outfit'... Think I've been caught on that one more than once...
