Although some have qualifiers all year round, I would think that most don't. Our first qualifier is in 7 weeks, although we did have our first competitive game on Sunday in the MOS club knockout.

So I wondered are you getting excited about getting out with a meaningful card in your hand?

We've had a qualifier every month over the winter, although the weather has scuppered any chance of playing it!
We've had a winter league going so still playing with card in hand all through.

Not sure when our first Q comp is but my season will start when I do a few short practice 9 holes, and sessions on the putting green.

We have a winter league every week but it's non qualifier.

Our qualifiers normally start the end of March beginning of April.

Next qualifier is 1st March, although I never feel like the season is underway until after the Masters.

Our club has gone ridiculous and every saturday/one sunday per month is now a qualifier. Despite the fact we are off 2 mats one of which reduces the SI1 to a mere 330 yards and the SI6 Par5 to 420 yards.

Quite ridiculous situation really.

Allegedly there's a stableford this weekend, I don't rate its chances very highly though. The more realistic start is the March 1st medal.

It's one of the few things I miss about my previous club, there we had a qualifier every weekend through the winter unless course conditions prevented it.

Sounds like that most likely exceeds the tolerance allowed over the "measured course" which from memory is 100 yards.

no idea. until the weather sorts itself out lee park is in no shape anyway. it just takes that magic week or two in spring for the fun and games to begin.

Hopefully will play my first Club competition on the 1st March, assuming I survive RCP and RSG's. Two and a half weeks without swinging a club is very frustrating.:(

Have a look at the latest Mark Crossfield vlog Gordon. He is playing the East course in a gale.

Been there, done that. 14th hole downwind......455 yards off the blue tee......3 wood, lob wedge

At ours qualifiers will start (in pro shops etc) as soon as conditions allow. But first club competition is the St Patrick's mid March - although season is not regarded as starting untill the April medal.

Early March if I start with a seniors stable ford. I think they lied on my birth certificate? Surely I can't be a senior (or even worse at our club a 'badger')
