Whats your favourite golf shot, when you execute it properly?
Not the shot you look forward to attempting, but the one you get most pride from when you pull it off ?

- A fairway splitting drive?
- A flushed long iron?
- A crisply hit/softly landing mid iron?
- A wedge with some dancefloor 'action'?
- A perfectly weighted putt?

For me its the long iron. Possibly as its the most challenging ( for me) If I do pull one off then I may even hold my pose a la Rory until it hits the target

Even the thought of flushing a 4-iron has saw me through a tough Monday

As this is "Trump week" I fear it maybe a long on in the office...

I agree that the long iron is also the hardest to execute, so I have a smile on my as a good one of those is in the air!

I struggle with my driver the most, so I am also pleased with an arrow straight drive.

Then again....when a decent sized putt lands, you actually feel the achievement as it lands in the cup (especially if for birdie or par for me).

All of them :D if pushed for one, the long iron:thup:

I struggle the most with my longer clubs but my ultimate love/hate is with my driver, so for me it has to be a well hit power fade down the middle of the fairway.

Soaring short iron, 8-9, shot that climbs, climbs, climbs and then drops gracefully onto the green with barely any roll, I don't do back spin. A shot that when you get right takes a minimum of effort.

Not the hardest shot in golf but ever so satisfying when you get it right.

Definitely for me is a big downhill approach. 6/7 iron (depends on my drive but this can happen on 2 holes at my course - amazingly [luckily] i did it for both on saturday!) and hitting it just right. You can see it's going straight at the green but did you choose the right club? You betcha! Right into the heart of the green. Cue applause from partners.

The only thing better than that is a PP doing it first and you getting inside his shot right after

The flushed long iron. All day long. There isn't a purer feeling in golf in my opinion...especially if you have a bladed set of irons!

Every shot that turns out exactly as I visualized it before. It's not that important, which club it is. It's more the satisfaction of hitting it exactly as I want it. It can be a trouble shot out from between trees that find the gap I actually aimed for, a drive which rolls out exactly between the hazard and the fairway bunker, a long breaking putt with the right line and speed, or any approach shot that lands close to the flag. I'm not picky. I happily celebrate all of those :D

I was going to say a long driver down the middle of the fairway, as I love driving. However on typing this it isn't.

The one that always feel so good is a high flighted 7 wood to a green, just amazes me every time I managed to pull it off, the height, distance, accuracy and straightness.

Having to move the ball around something. Wether it be a fade/slice/draw/hook.

Had one a few rounds ago. Stuck behind a copse of trees, requiring 70yrd of hook to keep it in play. Nothing better that watching it swerve mid air exactly like you imagined it. Even got a look of amazement from my PP's and a question of "did you mean to do that???"
