I can't remember having a really memorable start to a round but a lad at our place (3 hcp) started his round last Saturday as follows: Birdie, Birdie, Birdie, Par, Birdie.

Now you might not think that is anything special but his par on the fourth, which is a par 3, was made after putting his first tee shot OOB.

Unfortunately the rest of the round did not live up to the start and he finished level gross.

Birdie , Birdie , Eagle , Par , Birdie in the first 5

Birdie birdie par birdie birdie.
Not as good as my best finish when I birdied the last six holes in a bounce game last year.

Birdie, birdie, birdie, par, par a couple of years ago.
Gave me15 points for 5 holes.....could only go one way after that!

Gross par, par, par; it might not seem that good but take into account I was playing off 28 at the time! I did follow it up with +5 and +2 though. Still, for a brief moment I felt I was an actual golfer. :) if only I could grab those pars regularly with a card in my paw.

Birdie / par / birdie as an 18 handicapper. Great feeling, didn't last.

Also been 2 over for 9 holes (with a silly triple!). Again, didn't last, but it's runs like that which keep you coming back!

Birdie eagle eagle birdie par. -6 for 5 holes reality kicked in and ended up +6 and still got a small cut. Eagle on the par 4 3rd was a holed full on lob blind over some fully grown evergreen trees, didnt see it go in.

-4 after 3 at my last place.

Birdie, Eagle, Birdie. Think I parred the next 3 aswell then horsed 2 OOB off the tee on the 7th

3 straight birdies for me. Started par, birdie, birdie on Saturday and NR'd

Sunningdale Old...........7,5,2,2. [level par]
Not really the best but probably the most strange!

I also had seven 3's on the trot but that was from the 3rd hole. [on another course]

In a January medal this year I was 6 under gross after 10 holes when a stupid thought came into my head on 11th tee!

The other bizarre scoring I've had was at Strensall Rose Bowl last year playing the Par 5 15th and pitched in for an eagle, holed a 9i second shot on the fly on the par 4 16th, eagle, then on the par 3 17th hit a 4i that was arrow straight for the pin and it ended 10ft behind the hole, as you cant see the bottom of the pin I had no idea if I was close to going 3,2,1, eagle eagle eagle.

Had to look back at HDID so my best comp start is birdie, par, par birdie par. I dropped 13 shots on the back nine to finish 13 over

Best start to a round was prob double sausage and egg mcmuffin, double shot latte, single shot off the 1st tee

Doing likewise I'm embaraased to say that I've never gone more than two holes (both pars) before I've dropepd a shot, tough start at Ullesthorpe. In Sunday's Medal (in perfect conditions) at the first hole there were no birides and just 9 pars from a field of 115, average score 2.07 over par

My best start on HDID would be; bogey, par, par, par, birdie, par
