Given that it is an election year, it was always going to be loaded with some goodies.. what's the verdict on today's budget? How does it affect you?

Decent budget all round IMO.
Common Sense.

I still think VAT will increase in a month or two to pay for some of the perks.
He seems to have got away with his 'no iffs no buts' statement on the debt five years ago.

To be honest I have no idea what it contained, but I am guessing there are plenty of pre-election financial incentives to get people to vote Tory.

Penny off a pint…. thats a laugh  don't think any pub is going to knock a penny off. £3.00 exactly in my local for a pint of Fosters, there is no way they will make it £2.99 …………… too much hassle, all the beers in our pub are a nice round figure so the 1p is going to mean a lot of change going around. Personally I don't think it will happen.

I scarcely will know what to do with my penny a pint bribe. A whole 10p a week extra in my pocket is enough to unsettle me.

One thing for definite though it'll ensure Dave & George get my vote come May 7th
