Depending on where you buy it about £50-70. There was much debate early in 2008 when the G10 came out and a lot of forum members who are regular Ping users (I have never liked them) said at the time that they thought the G10 was basically the G5 revamped and that intrinsically there wasn't much difference.

I guess the only way you'll find out what suits best is to hit both models and see how they compare. Bear in mind though that most manufacturers have yet to release their 2009 models so you may buy a G10 and it will be usurped by a new version so you might want to hang fire.

As the G5 was so good they didn't have much scope for making it better and keeping it in the price range. So the improvements are small but overall I think the G10 is a better package. Having said that, the G5 is still a class bit of kit and keeps up with many more modern driver.

When I was picking my new clubs up from Willingdon Golf Club on Wednesday I was chatting with the shop owner (Dave) about various things and he mentioned that he had some good deals on G5 drivers. It may well be worth giving him a call if you are looking for one.
I didn't need one so didn't go into too much detail so don't know how many he had or what shaft options etc.

He's a really nice guy and it might be worth giving him a call if you are interested?
(He's no relation so it's not a shameless plug, just trying to save somebody some money!)

As a fairly recent convert to Ping equipment & one with quite an open mind to be honest I did look at the woods from the G5 & G10 ranges. As it happens I diddn't in the end choose either in the end as a driver, though did go for one of the G10 hybrids.

I tried both G5 & G10 hybrids & fairway woods one day & although only a little difference in the heads, at first glance & general where the main difference did seem to be for me was with the shafts used in each & in the end was the main reason to settle on the hybrid I decided upon. As for driver If I eventually do go for a Ping driver it will certainly be a shaft choice that will be an important (probably the most important) deciding factor along with the usual characteristics any head will add to the mix
