Assuming Isas are topped up and you do not want to put money into stocks and shares etc.
what are the best saving rates from
£1-£2,000
£1-£5,000
£1-£10,000
£1- £30,000.

not bothered if it has to be tied up for a couple of years or not.
Currently have a Santander 123 account which pays quite well but would sooner have it in a savings account.

cheers gents and ladies any pointer would greatly help.

Strange you should put that up fundy coz I had a look at that five mins before I posted this thread.

its usually as good a start point as any, if youre going to open an account always worth checking how long the rate is guaranteed for (some offer headline grabbing rate only to drop it a few mths later assuming you'll be too lazy to move)

Lloyds offer 4% on a current account which is easy to meet the "requiremnets" also TSB do similar - if your after savings only the look at postal and telephone based accounts as offer better as high street tend to vary between 0.50% to 1.5% depending on who you bank with and loyalty bonuses etc....

Ratesetter are offering 5.3% for a 3-year term (and even for a 1-month term, it's 2.8% which is loads better than most savings accounts). It's peer-to-peer lending so you don't get quite the same level of protection, but I've used them for borrowing and would happily use them for lending too. I think I read recently that from next year you'll be able to put it in an ISA wrapper as well.
