What's the best Christmas present you've ever had?

Just watching one of those top 100 toy type programmes, got me thinking back to a bike my dad got me for Christmas when I was about 5, was brilliant...even though he left the stabilisers at work and I had to wait until January to have a proper go on it.

Mine too was my first brand new bike, it was a Grifter by Raleigh. It was styled on a scrambler/cross country bike.
I think I got it in 1976 when I was 8.

In the early-mid 80s I was desperate to change my ZX81 to an Amstrad CPC464. My parents told me they couldn't afford it but they would pay half, and if I asked other relatives for money that year then I should be able to save the balance pretty quickly. I was totally happy with this, had my sights set on owning it by Easter. Then they only went and bought it anyway . Maybe not the best toy ever but absolutely the best Christmas surprise present ever.
