This thread is started from ignorance, not cynicism, ok ?

I've never played with Mizuno clubs, and haven't ever really had the urge. I'm not thinking of changing in the immediate future, unless my numbers come in, but I like to wander round AG and waggle a few, and work out what I'll get when I next change.

I've always had Titleist given a choice, but at the moment I admit that I'm not good enough to use them to their best.

So plug away. Why Mizuno ? Are they cheaper ? more forgiving ? better build quality ?

I haven't seen a pro that uses them in a while of searching, which is making me wonder a bit.

Why not Cobra, or Snakeeyes, or Wilson, etc. ?

:D

With me its a mixture of everything looks, feel, build quality and design.
One of my freinds is a pro and I hit almost every new club that comes out and nothing comes close to the feel of a mizuno, also IMO noone has made an iron that looks as good as the MP67
I agree that there are few pros using Mizuno at the moment (Luke Donald being the biggest) but they dominated during the 80's and 90's Tiger is supposed to have used blank MP irons stamped with Titleist when he won his first masters

Freddie that club is a thing of beauty ;), can you still get them? I ask only because it hasn't got any stamp on it saying what model it is

I do like them and have had a set way back in the distant past. However when I was looking for a set, the game improver irons (cast) were a bit chunky and the next line up (I guess the MX200 now) looked a little unforgiving even though they were forged.

I'd definitely look at them again if I decide to change

Mizuno make great irons, its a well known fact. Their wedges are good but their hybrids and fairways are kinda middle of the road imho and there drivers are poor in my experience and everyone I have spoken to who has used one.

Everyone knows Titleist make the best gear.

I beg to differ, why does the worlds best golfer use Nike? In fact there is not one Titleist player in the top ten in the world says something, some might use their balls but not their sticks.

Tiger uses Nike because he's on an ENOURMOUS contract and has been for ever. It's also a well known fact he's only been using Nike irons for a few years. Before that the quality wasn't up to his standard so he used either Mizuno or Muira with a swoosh stamped on.

Pretty much exactly what I thought when I was looking at them the other day ( emphasis on 'looking' not 'trying' )

Ive had mizunos, TM, Callaway and titleists before, to be honest the mizunos were good but then again, so were the TM's and I actually prefer the AP2s now.
I dont believe in the saying that Mizuno only make irons, the mp600 driver is pretty damn good, have a 3 wood which is an old tzoid steelie shafted thing, its not so bad either.

I was once told that Mizzys come with a shorter shaft (as standard off the shelf) because they are made for the Japanese.

Anyone know of this?
