Maybe I'm am wrong about this but it seems to me as human beings we are just losing the plot.
Yesterday I went to my old club Vivary GC where I'm still a member but I don't play comps there I use it for practice.
It was raining very heavily and the course was dead the shop was closed as usual at 6 so didn't need to sign in and went to the first tee as normal off the White tees.The course is short at 4500 yards but extremely tight.
I had just teed off when Eddie the bar owner and chairman came rushing out and told me I was not allowed to play off the Red tees as they were comp tees.
You can imagine the conversation but no swearing just bewilderment I mean what harm was it causing.
Like I said I could be wrong but in the terms of life and whats going on in the world does it really matter.
Secondly at the park run this morning I was told I was not allowed to ride along side my son whilst he was running.
The rules are to run with someone under 11 years old you have to be within arms reach imo another stupid rule.
So as I cant run I cycled,now the Park run has no right of way around the course as its open to the public and there were other bikes actually riding towards runners.
Yet again am I doing any harm at all, am I hell.
Just a rant really but imo the world is getting a worse place with stupid petty rules.
