Whats App infected

My computer has been infected by a whats app infection where many emails purporting to have come from Me have been sent to many of my contacts.

Not sure how serious this is but I have changed my password.

How much of a problem is this and is there anything else I should do?

Go to your emails and check your sent items
I expect there is nothing unusual in there, which means that your PC isn't infected, but your email has been spoofed.
Changing your password is probably the only thing you can do,

Download the free malwarebytes and scan the pc anyway

Just had a look at my sent mails. There are some from 15 months ago which I had deleted and they seem to have reappeared from nowhere!


It is an ipad. Does that make any difference. So sorry for not being too good at this.

That won't be an issue
They were deleted off your device, but were still on the server
As it's an iPad , don't bother with malwarebytes as that's just for a windows machine

You may now get on with your life
