You've played in a comp and you've had a good day. Not a brilliant day but a good day where you drive home and think 'I enjoyed that'

What would your score be?

In terms of scoring then buffer is a good score but there's plenty other aspects that might mean I say 'I enjoyed that'

Buffer here, a brilliant day would be beating h/c, but if I enjoyed the company/weather or played well for 9 and not buffered etc I could have a good day but still be a little disappointed with the +0.1.

That said I didn't buffer the day I got my hole in one and drove home with the biggest smile on my face in ages. :)

Exactly what happened on Saturday. 36 points in tricky conditions.

could have been 3-4 better, but drove home smiling as I had shot my handicap, and actually thought how much I had enjoyed it.

I'm not really happy with where my handicap is, as such I believe I should be playing under it. Therefore I'm really only happy with my game when I play under my handicap.

Not bothered about score, "I enjoyed that" is the important part to me.

I've enjoyed days out where I've shot 90+ and under handicap.

100% agree with this Iain, I played Andy at SAOL last summer and took a pasting from him but it was one of the most enjoyable rounds I had last year.

Anything under 100. That may not sound great to you, but I am a really poor golfer

Score not as important as having an enjoyable round. If you have enjoyed it, you probably played reasonably well so score should reflect that.

:rofl:likewise with the drubbing you gave me around Wallasey . There is more to an enjoyable days golf than the score !

Same for me.

However, I've played badly and had fun loads of times so I voted Not Bothered.

I'd say it's more that I'm happiest when I shoot under h/c (obviously) but I can miss buffer and still be happy. I got a tanking in the club champs last year, lost 5&4, but had a cracking day. Played just about on buffer, I think, but it's not just about the score.

Buffer for me although if I feel I've played well and perhaps had one poor hole thats missed the buffer as a result, I'll try and take the positive from the whole and not dwell on the one bad hole.
