Thought id play 9 after work, after a late night last night watching the end of the golf and another cut at the weekend couldn't resist even in the ridiculous wind!

Played on my own, walking up to the 16th (Par 5) green had a long putt for eagle only to find loads of geese on and around the green

Now these have been known to flair up before and there were many more than the photo shows just guarding my entrance to the green.

On your own, means nothing, but a good chance for eagle. What would you do!

Chip it in case your putt deflects off a lump of poo

haha! Well I ended up with a birdie! and had to wait about 10 minutes to slowly clear them. Not worth the wait!!!

After a quick gander, i would herd them off then 3 putt.

I would go for it and then have to clean my ball of any thing that was stuck to it. Messy creatures

On a slightly different note our club invested in a breeding pair of black swans due to being overrun with flocks of Canadian geese. The swans are very territorial and chase the Canadian geese off as soon as they land on any pond on the course. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes but a single black swan charged into a flock of about 30 Canadian geese and they scattered and flew off, fantastic to see and the course is in much better shape without the geese around.

Same pair of swans come to nest and have about seven signets every year. I've seen them charge at any other swans that dare to land in the same field . They've also chased a few golfers if the get too close .

I've also seen courses where they have decoy swans to deter other birds. Obviously not as effective as the real thing
