I don't know the full story. Was there a motive? (his mrs had cheated & this was the new guys car / been sacked or redundant & ex-bosses car / drunk & was just a silly jealous drunk rage)

I once filmed an old neighbour keying my car, difference was it was from about 15 yards away and it was 12pm.
The police arrested him but he never got charged due to lack of evidence despite the fresh gouge on the bonnet which miraculously appeared exactly where his hand had moved across car.
He did however end up in a headlock after he continued to deny it, he also got a visit from a couple of lads from the dodgy side of the housing estate

What will he get ? not sure on UK justice but

£300 fine and probation act for 12 months ... on FLA

£1000 fine and a suspended Community Service order. He should be made to pay for the repairs and both sides legal costs, but he won't.
