What to do? what to do?

Based on your last 3 rounds you're a true25 handicapper.

Pay your comp money and snaffle what you can.

Or play smiffy for money off your bonafide hcap.

Play to the rules :-)

If a handicap was doled out on "bombing ability" alone then Cameron would hold 9.
But there are many other facets to this game. A deft touch is required sometimes, along with the ability to plot your way around a course.
I think it's called "course management".
If I were a handicap secretary and based on observation, I would see you playing off about 14-16.
;)

PS. It doesn't alter the fact that you are a real hoot on a golf course
:D:D

Can I ask why you handed those specific 3 cards in when, as I'm sure you did, added them up and could see the average was so high, it was inevitable you were going to be issued with a high handicap as they, the club, no nothing of your background. Why not wait until you hit a few good rounds that you believed more presented how you play and then hand them in, if you can do that?
Saves me having to type out the same thought

Those were the first three round I played at the course. You have to sign up for a supplementary card before you play. I was always taught to put your card in regardless of how you play.

So I have decided to put in some supplementary cards to get the handicap down. Played today and it was good in patches and came in with an 88 which is a 63 net so will be cut 3.2 (SS is 71 off yellows). Only made my first par on the 9th but got back to back birdies on 12 and 13. Checked the card and looked back at my putting. 3 putted 7 greens! 👿

I am confident that the handicap will come down before the season ends. Have had a few guys ask if I would be their winter league partner. :o

That might also trigger an alarm from the H'Cap Sec'y.

There's another part of Rule 23 that allows an wrong initial allocation to be simply corrected. With any luck, he'll recognise you an adjust.

Another Supplementary next week - or even earlier if allowed - and you may be able to hand in the Sombrero and Poncho :D

so no more shots to give you Cameron, good ;)

just keep playing, submit supps and all will be good. If anything the 25 has made you determined to get it down so a decent motivator I say

Your doing the right thing just keep putting them in work on your game, and learn the greens. It will drop, you have a couple of months.
