Attended a stableford comp on Saturday (to say I played in it would be generous!) scored 23 points, checked and signed the card reflecting those 23 points. One of our threeball offered to enter the scores in the computer while I was 'in the chair' no problem and never thought anything of it, until just now email from HDID informing me of a handicap increase from 5.4 to 5.5 because of my 28 points on Saturday. I, of course, logged straight on to HDID and there it is 28 points, clicked my name and the numpty has only gone and entered his scores under my name (also numpty) (and his own name). That'll teach me for getting the first round in!

I suppose my question is at what point does the score stop being my responsibility? (I've called the club to let them know and I'll accept whatever they dish out)

what's entered in the computer is irrelevant - only what's on the signed card that was returned is your responsibility. The committee are responsible for checking that what's been entered is consistent with the card for that reason; they should simply correct your scores from the submitted card.

Yep - new email has come round with the updated score!
