I've been away for a while, mainly because I needed to knuckle down and actually do some work, and I was spending a bit too much time on here…
Anyway, I am off now for Easter, so back at home and today the weather was too good to refuse…
Went out early played utter rubbish… The swing just wasn't there.
So I went into the pro shop borrowed so some practice balls, hit 50 in the nets, and then 15 full lob wedges. A spot of lunch and I was back out…
Tripled the 1st with a lost ball and a bad bounce… But then I turned in +3 over!
Long story short… Shot a +8… nothing that spectacular so when you include the fact that SS is 2 under I was only 2 shots under my handicap. BUT I HAD HAD 3 TRIPLE BOGIES!!!!!!!!
So take away 3 holes and I was 1 under par… Never struck the ball better, had 4 birdies, 3 bogeys, 8 pars and those 3 triples…
What was ironic was that I was trying to be honest non-bandit golfer and get my handicap down, so marked a whole card the whole way round, but likelihood is that I will only get a .4 cut so my handicap stays at 12… I handed it in and pointed out the 3 blow outs so fingers crossed a bigger cut will be heading my way…
Do you think I will be cut more? Should I be…?? Personally I think I should considering I am off 12 and I can knock it round like that.
