Looking at getting some new irons at some point, haven't paticularly considered makes yet, more interseted in the clubs that are in it. I know i don't hit long irons well so originally I was going to go with 5-SW. But is it worth going 6-SW plus a hybrid? I currently own a 3 hybrid so in addition to the original question is it worth adding another hybrid anyway?

Any thoughts will be appreciated :)

A million and one answers to this one I'm afraid.
A "standard" set will have driver, 3w, 5w, 3 hybrid, 4-pw and then wedges and putter.
BUt you could, like me, swap the 3 and 5 woods for a 4 wood and add an extra wedge and/or swap the 4 iron for another hybrid.
Most of the decisions need to be based on how far you hit each club and what you're trying to do with it.
If you have a 5w, for example, and you hit it a similar distance to your 3 w then it's a wasted club. Or if you hit your 3 hybrid a similar distacne to your 5w - same result.
Sometimes a set can consist of 3w, 2h, 4h then 5-pw - it all depends on how far. It also depends on the course you play most. If it's long you may need more woods/hybrids to get the distance, if it's shortish then more scoring wedges might be useful.

Nope, no way, no how.

You are 15 and have plenty time to learn how to hit a 3 iron.
As a minimum- sw through to 4 iron and learn to play them.

5hybrids and 4hybrids are a cop out and flag up a lack of golfing ability. :D

learn how to hit long irons, it will make you a better golfer in the long run.

It also depends on your course....
I play driver, 3 wood, 3-pw then gap, sand, lob.

All par 3s I can reach with irons.
If I can't reach par 5 in 2 with 3 wood then it's a lay up to 120 yards
Occasionally use 3 wood on shorter par 4s.

So many variables that in the end come down to personal choice.
If playing a longer course I sometimes drop the lob and chuck a 5 wood in the bag too.

Personally I'd go down the driver, 3W 5W, 3 hybrid 4-PW and then a couple of wedges (52 and 58) for me and a putter. I've enough options at the top end and don't over complcate things with too many wedges at the other end of the scale. I do drop the 3W or 5W in summer at times depending on where I'm playing and how dry it is and will put a LW in instead.

Talk to your pro and get his advice. He probably knows your swing well enough to advise on which set to go with
