You hit a shot and walk up to your ball to find that the next shot you are about to play is your dreaded nightmare shot, the one where you know you are not going to do well here.
What is your nightmare shot ? for me it would be plugged ball in bunker up the face close to the lip.

Bunker shot when you're 50ft from the club house windows and the patio that was buzzing with life has suddenly gone silent....

....... The next one

For me, it's a low punch shot from under trees. I have no idea why, but I generally hit a Arthur J when I try and play this shot.

Anything from 30-60 yards out as its the worst part of my game by miles. :(

A delicate shot over a bunker to a tight pin at the front. always either play it too soft and end up in said bunker, or airmail the green. take the bunker out of the picture and i can play that shot fine!

60-80 meters out. I've set myself up for that glorious full wedge shot with the green at my mercy. Zoooooooooommmmm a bullet right off the clubs edge though the green and into a, usually, deep thickeet behind the green never to be seen again. I'm thinking of just nobbing it in with a 9 iron, but is that golf?

The second shot on our 17th, assuming that I'm on the short stuff with a shot in. Pull it left, it's anywhere up a 30 foot almost vertical bank in trees and gorse. Push it right, it's down a 30 foot drop in trees and gorse...... got about a 5 or 6 yard wide gate into the green, anything outside of it is very likely gone...... Hate this shot with a vengeance, no matter how many different ways I try to play it....

That's interesting as thats my easiest shot ever, I can pick the height and hit it straight or draw or fade..........but try a SW from 80yds and it could be J arthur, thin or duff.......and that's the scoring shot I need to be better at...........the under the tree one Gareth is a rare shot so dont fret:whistle:

There isn't a type of shot I fear, just some that I have less confidence than others with.
The nearest thing for me would be a 3-4' putt. The ones you know you 'should' get, but are all too easy to miss.

If it were one shot on my course that I hate, it's the tee shot on our second. 456yd par 4, OOB right and blocked out by big trees left.

Bunkers, generally. I have no confidence in bunkers. Apart from that I feel I can pull off most shots, whether I do or not is another matter, but I don't fear them.

Notwithstanding my own failing on earlier post, just wanted to say i love bunkers, the deeper the better (sometimes I'm deliberately aiming for them)

Favorites are the ones where you cant see the bottom of the flag after taking your stance, lurvly :D

A 68 yard shot from the fairway on the 18th at Chart Hills when on equal points with Jimboo and a fiver riding on the game!

One lob wedge and a 5 foot putt soon allayed the fear !!!

Long shots over bunkers near the green. Other than that no even though I have airmailed the green on our 5th hole into the water behind a few times but it doesn't fill me with dread and fear.
