Having decided to change my 12 yr old Lynx Parallax clubs for a shiney new set of G10s, I'm wondering what to do with my retired set! They are still in lovely condition and it would seem a shame to throw them out.

Any ideas what I should do with them?

If they are of minimal value for online sale, you can try taking them tothe place where you are getting the Pings and see if they will offer anything in part exchange.

If they are not worth anything or you can't part exchange them, take them to your nearest American Golf. Thay will send them back to head office for redistribution to schools and youth clubs to encourage youngsters to take up the game

I keep my old gear and pass it on to newbies needing kit....there's no shortage of people who ask me about starting. I have some kit which I'm going to give to a charity shop....Great Big Bertha, Ping Putter, Old Callaway steelhead 3 wood, all appearing in a charity shop near here. Lucky someone, and it's less painful than walking in and emptying my wallet!
H.I.D. reckons we should do a car boot....

Might seem an odd idea but have often thought that clubs could run their own equivalent of a bring and buy sale. On a fixed day you turn up at the range with kit you do not want, try other people etc then buy from each other, swap gear or whatever.

HID might have a point. Go to a car boot and chances are you'll get a few quid for them. It's also a great opportunity for getting rid of all that tat we all accumulate and stick at the back of cupboards. We did one last year to get rid of surplus golf kit, golf shirts that I had outgrown plus we cleared every drawer, cupboard and wardrobe in the house.

With all our unwanted clutter and my golf kit we made about £120 on the day (which went straight on new kit!!)
