Looking for a new shaft for my D3...

Have decided that the RIP 60 stiff is a touch too stiff for me..

Looking for something with a little bit more flex and low to mid trajectory...

Any ideas?

whats wrong with deep red?

not judging the club at all, but on many occasions AG are known to influence your purchase with what suits their commission structure.

I went in for TM Burner or Cally X20 irons yet the sales guy was convinced i needed DI9's despite me saying " NO i dont want them "

A friend went in last week to look at I15 & G15, yet was given cleveland irons to try again despite clearly stating he want G15/115's

This is my problem. I want to know a bit more about the science around the shafts, then go for a fitting with a bit of knowledge.

AG is just up the road but they dont stock many shaft's, they can order them in...

I am going to speak to the people at gripmyshaft.com later today...

cheers

Let us know how you get on. Its a minefield out there trying to find the right shaft for my R9.... Loads of options available yes but ultimatley its unrealsitic to think you can get time to try them all.... Yes I have tried a couple of my mates on the course and thinking that the Fabuki tour might be an option but again I have heard that Dinamana, Gravafoloy and something X are other good options. I appreciate this all down to swing and speed etc but would love to get a short list together somehow!

and are you forced into buying what you dont want? My point was to get a fitting for the shaft thats right for the OP then he can shop around.
Out of interest I'm going to get a fitting there soon to see how it goes, I agree they are selling products so will no doubt push whats the biggest margin - doesnt any business? - you can only benefit from trying various clubs/shafts etc under the watchfull eye of some hi tech gizzmos which either makes your decision easy or sometimes harder :D

I went into a local shop and wanted either S3's or Burner 2.0's. Tried them along with JPX800's. Burners faired best out of the three in terms of cost and striking but the guy wasn't completely happy with the figures and the ball fight was quite low. He could have left it there I'd still of been happy to have found a club I wanted. He then handed me a Cally Razr x iron and told me to try it. Even on a few fat shots the figures were better and the club felt better to me. Surprised by the amount of feedback from them compared to my old Cobra FP's. Walked out with them for nearly £150 less than online, a smile on my face and a credit card bill I'm not looking forward to.

Made me realize that what you think you want and what you should get are very different things.

I think a shop should get you trying things that you don't necessarily think about before going in. This way you are more likely to walk out happy. Now the motivation behind what they get you try is a different thing.

Why do you think it's too stiff, and what shot shape are you getting with it?
