It depends what you mean. There's no better feeling than unleashing a sweet drive down the middle, so I've voted for that.
But in another sense my favourite shot to actually play is probably anything around 100-120 yards where I can pitch onto the green, because I'm generally pretty good at those. Whereas the sweet drive happens less often...
I think you meant the first one though hence why I voted that way.
Whacking a drive down the middle, its what makes me coming back time after time for more punishment. I live for those good rounds that the driver is 'the club'.
So many times I have duffed my iron shot, after my sunday best drive, as I am still buzzing from the drive. Goodness me I am sad
Any full shot when you know a split second after you've hit it that you got the middle of the club. I don't even care where it's going, just hitting the middle makes me happy.
I've selected the delicate pitch from the poll although I don't pull them off very often they are a favorite when they are pulled off.
My favorite, that I'd manage a little more regularly, is a mid iron when the contact is so pure you don't really feel it and the ball just seems to travel exactly as you pictured in your head.
My vote was for the perfect greenside bunker shot - but in truth that is my #2.
My absolutest #1 favourite shot is when I have missed the fairway and have trees between me and the green that I cannot go over.
I have two choices. The sensible 'good course management' shot pitching out onto the fairway - but that's no fun and a bit depressing. My alternative is to hit a very low punched 3 iron under the tree branches - and between the trees if necessary. I love seeing a really low clean hit 3 iron whizzing away clear of the trees to the fairway and on it's way towards the green. So much more enjoyment than a 'boring' pitch out.
It's also a cracking shot to have up your sleeve in a match when your opponent thinks you are in trouble and going to have to come out sideways - and all of a sudden your ball is close to or on the green
Te changes for me almost weekly depending on what I'm doing well.
all may I was happy using my 5 wood from tee or fairway and almost placing it where it needed to go. All of a sudden it's consistency has vanished and I've found my chipping from around the greens is my best part....
All of them. Just enjoying being out in the warm with the course in full glory. If I have to pick one then a decent bunker shot allowing a tap in par save does it for me
Hitting one stiff on a par 3 every time, especially if there is a bit of action on the ball, it makes you feel like you can play. Then pop the putt in and claim a share of the 2's.
