we have snowflakes the size of fifty pence pieces coming down here in sussex .
yet this morning at eight o clock it was lovely and sunny ,looked set for a cracking day .next minute its chucking it down with rain and then the snow .
bloody weather ,dont ya just love it here in England ?

I said exactly the same yesterday when playing golf. Think you have got the snow that we should have had( cheers mate👍😁) coz we have not had the expected flurrys.

I was on holiday last week and it was beautiful weather in Dundee/Monifieth area (sunny and cold but crisp and no wind) - absolutely fantastic on the golf course.

Yesterday was dull and with a bit of wind but today it's back to sunny and no wind - I'm working in Perth today and it's been bright but with a bit of overnight snow lying.

Tonight I'm off to Glasgow to photograph the Celtic v Dundee game - forecast for there is overcast but dry - very happy with the Scottish weather at the moment.

We attempted to play golf in Hertfordshire this morning, but it was one of most blustery days I can ever remember playing in. We gave up after 9 holes, after one of my putts was blown sideways up a slope, and then when my apparently good drive at the 9th was caught by a sudden squall line and was last seen heading sideways towards a lake on the right. It was also seriously unpleasant just being outside! :(

I finished 18 hoes I a vets comp this morning but putting through a green full of melting sleet and hail wasn't easy!

That's what happens when we leave on a small island that is surrounded by varying different weather systems - what wind is the strongest effects our weather. Right now it's coming straight from the North and at times East which means it's all cold wind at the weather systems that brings. No doubt that wind will change and we will get the Gulf Stream soon which will bring the warmer weather including the April rains etc

Could be worse I guess, lots of people up here still not in their homes following December flooding and roads and bridges still awaiting repairs/rebuilding.

A591 which connects southern and western lakes still nowhere near being in a position to take traffic which is going to impact severely on the summer tourist trade. Currently about a 60 mile detour to get from Keswick to Ambleside.

I haven't played golf for month's but I'm certainly not moaning about the weather as I feel fortunate not have have personally suffered this winter.

Crisis....snow hits southern England in March.
Once in a lifetime experience says survivor.;)

snow in march is a rarity darn sarf. but we do get it .
i remember the day i passed my driving test ,which was in may, many years ago.it snowed all bloody day in Eastbourne.
i also have a photo of the local village cricket match being called off because of snow ,it was august.

I lived and worked darn souff for 30 years, I can assure you it was not a rarity.
I can recall at least four years when Easter competitions were cancelled.
The reaction of southerners to snow outside of Dec/Jan was always amusing though.

Yes another great day in Ayrshire, quite warm working in the garden.
We do tend to get lovely springs in the gulf stream.

We had some snow the week before Christmas, dumped it down for a few hours, caused chaos, but was gone in the morning, bar that not seen any snow at all this year, so much for it being cold up north.

It's been very wet and windy, very windy at times but otherwise the weather in my neck of the woods has been better than normal.

What a difference a day can make. Today we had very light winds and it was fairly bright and sunny, if a bit cold. I scored 34 points in a seniors' comp, which should have 36 if I hadn't missed a couple of quite short putts. Now chucking it down again at 23.00 pm!
