What is it about Summer evening golf that makes it so good?

After a two week break, I played straight after work on Thursday, from 5:45. The wind was low, a comfortable temperature, nice and dry under foot. I was completely relaxed as soon as I arrived in the car park, and my golf was (for me) fantastic. Shots were long, straight, and completely without effort. Putting was reasonable, but I didn't care, the walk between shots was completely at ease and talking with my mates was involved and went on for all 9 holes.
So what combination of elements is it that triggers this wonderful feeling? How can we achieve it every time?

This time of year the feeling is normally good because you've been waiting so long for a game of golf that anything is considered good :)

Summer???? It's only April for goodness sake, not even Easter. Still snow on the hills and a biting cold wind. Ask me again in July about summer golf. :)

Was on the Valley course Thursday evening, was lovely weather.

We played the first nine on the Valley Shaun, great time.

Summer? If it's not snowing, or an overnight frost, or flooded, it's Summer!
Especially as I am on holiday this week in Northumberland. I love holidays ;-)
