After a 18/19 degree regular shafted hybrid. Budget of £60 max. Club must suit a high handicap player. What should I be looking at?

Adams. Got an old A7OS 4h on Ebay and love it. Wasnt getting on with my 4W so bought an Adams Idea 3 hybrid two weeks ago. Love love love it. So forgiving, I've hit some wild ones that once hit Ive said to myself "oh no Im in trouble" only to look up and see it miraculously going straight. I dont know how they do it, but you cant go far wrong with an Adams. Steer clear of the "Pro" and "red" ranges if youre in the higher handicap range. Can pick up a new Idea for £60 on ebay, but you could probably even nick a newer model at auction if you can be bothered.

+1. Adams make fantastic hybrids

If you don't have one already then you cant go wrong with any hybrid.

The first one I got was an md 18degree hybrid. dropped two shots in two weeks after getting one.

I've owned and hit various hybrids and tbh they all do pretty much the same thing. Some launch easier than others. Some will fly lower depending on the shaft, weighting in the head and loft.

Cheap and cheerful would be Mizuno jpx 800. first good one I bought. Paid 90 for it at the time. Worked well. Hits the ball high. You can pick them up well under budget now.

I always struggled with hybrids and fairway woods, tried the wilson staff FG 5 wood and hybrid, so easy to hit, got both for about £100, best decision I ever made, hardly use my driver or 4 iron now

Hard to buy a terrible hybrid

I have 5, all different brands and despite only a 5 degree loft spread in them they all have notably different flights and distances and each looks quite different when sitting behind the ball

If you cant try before you buy, then def get one that at least looks good to your eye, the one that I can never hit wrong is the one that I'm most comfortable looking at (weird that its not in the bag just now)

Adams are very good, as are the Cobra bafflers and the Taylormade RBZ - should be able to pick up a budget one on ebay. If you can stretch your budget, the new Callaway XR hybrid's surprised the hell out of me the other day - I have Nike Sumo hybrid's and have struggled to find anything that I hit better enough to think about replacing them, but, the Callaway XR 19 degree was outstripping my Nike 17 degree by a good 20 yards. If you have and AG or DG golf store local, go hit a few and see how they feel, AG also sell second hand kit that you can try.
