This morning, I got tempted to make my first post on this forum after reading after having registered "a long time ago..."

The thread was pulled and I have no idea why - it was entertaining and made people laugh? Are there greater powers who rule out threads?

Any ideas...?
 
The problem is often in the eye of the beholder, in that what seems funny to one, or many, may not be funny to others. I do see the humour on here and it nearly always makes me smile, or even laugh, but occasionally it goes a little far (not often mind).
Having said that I dont know what I am talking about in this case as I didnt get to see the thread concerned and I fear I may have missed a giggle.
 
No cliques Parmo. Just someone who is a frequent contributor and happens to compile the pages for the magazine. I've only ever met a handful of forum members to play with so not as if we're all big bosom buddies. Some people share my opinions others don't. That's a forum for you. You could argue there is a bigger anti-Homer clique at the moment. Am I fussed?
 
Homer, I am not involed in Homergate and have no interest in it, well I did find their witch hunt funny but apart from that no interest.

How you feeling btw? Glad to be back at work?
 
I go back tomorrow so I'm looking forward to it (I like working at the hospital as its always a bustling place). Sorry to hear on the other thread that you aren't working and hope something turns up.

Homergate really got me down. Not for the accusations as I could see their original point but for the level of petty and snidey (at best) remarks. Once I had the answer (Sunday am) I would have been happy to share it but as most on here were only interested in petty point scoring and didn't want the truth to get in the way of a good opportunity to have a pop a the so called "forum king" there seemed little point putting it up for public consumption where it would have been ignored, denied and no doubt further accusations of lying and deception would have followed.

I can't wait for it to die down as it really is boring and pretty non-golf related but I can see it dragging on and on and making guest appearances in other threads too. Such is the nature of the forum.

Reminder to self. I must stop looking for conspiracies where none exist.
 
My final input in the matter and Homer this is not me having a go but your handicap is incorrect....check howdidido you are still 0.2 too high IF you didn't play in these events therefore if you get cut in next comp to 10.5 you will be playing off a false handicap just like you did when you were off 12. Golf is a game of huge integrity remember...
