What grips do you use on your clubs? There's many to choose from these days and in different colours too.

I've got Golf Pride Tour Velvet Black on mine. Dull I know but that's what they came with. But I've had the New Dacade ones before in blue and they looked and felt good. Probably go back to them when these wear out.

Imurg....just got Lamkins on my woods but must admit, after looking at someones post, really fancy FUNKD Golf grips..nice and subtle..don't you think???
Not too colourful(?)just blending in QUIETLY sure you and the others will agree!?
After all wouldn't want to stand out in the crowd now would we?? :p

I got the multi compounds in yellow since i got my irons Dec 07 and they are great, just put the white ones on my woods which look even better in my opinion

My hands don't seem to like the usual rubber grips as the undentations tend to rip my hands apart. I tend to prefer either a winn wrapped style or go for corded that although rougher seems to do less damage to my hands.

When I saw the title I was assuming the question was going to be the way you grip the club... Varden, interlocking or baseball...

For the record its interlocking for me.

I really must make a habit of changing the grips suplied with most my clubs, especially driver :(

As long as the grips are the right thickness for your hand size, the rest is purely personal
Toyboy, do you have the game to back up some lime green Funk'd grips ;)

Bobmac....You gou got the colours wrong my friend!
Mine would be in subtle blue.
As to the game, only when I stop trying too hard and enjoy myself, but more importantly, realise how many shots I have and use them!
It can be done,I've won the Eclectic, all I need to do is have a clear mind and enjoy the company!"£ :D

Lamkin cross line, the best available. Subtle looking, but great grips. Also wear to show how you are gripping the club. Almost like a training aid.

I've got a mix, Irons have Tour Velvet as that's what I chose when I got them last year. My driver, 3 wood and MP FliHis I recently fitted with MultiCompound Blue. I may well regrip the Irons in those when they need regripped.

I used to play with full cord 10 years ago, nowadays they'd rip my hands to shreds, going soft in my old age :D

My Yonex irons (which I'm now selling btw) have Winn G8 grips, but when I need to change my Ping Iron Grips it will be a wrap grip, whether Winn or not. I've used wrapped grips in the past & they don't rip my hands apart like the usual tour velvet style does.

How often do you guys get your irons regripped. I have to say last year I was playing and practicing most evenings and by the end of the summer there was a huge noticable deterioration in the short irons (7 down to 56 wedge) where they had taken the strain of practice shots. I had to get them regripped as cleaning helped but their were ridges where my hands had begun to rub the rubber away.

I'm normally not too bad on grips but 8 iron & 6 iron often takes some hammering due to ammount of balls I hit during lessons. Irony is 5, 7 & 9 are my favorites on the course. Though parr3 holes on the accademy where I used to use 7 iron I do tend to use 8 iron, meaning the 8 iron is the one that gets the most wear.

Its not so much being hard on grips. Its the grips that are hard on me if I don't get the right ones to stop my skin being worn away. So I tend to change perfectly good grip for ones better suited for my well being.

i have read articles about regripping every year, but i have had my grips for at least 2 years may be 3 losing track and i play at least 3 times a week and sometimes everyday if shifts allow. i use lamkin jumbo grips and no problems with hands and not much wear, some on driver but just changed shafts around so not a problem. i think wear is down to individual grips, makes, etc. if its worn change if not clean and carry on. sometimes some emery paper or a file to rough up a bit. shagster

I recently had my Callaway woods regripped. The clubs were about 5 or 6 years old and I thought the original grips were still ok. It wasn't until I got them back with the new multicompounds on I realised how worn the originals must have been!
I've gone for multicompounds on the Mizuno irons, in a nice fetching shade of blue to match the logo on the back of the club..... :o :o :o :o :o

Multi Compound Golf Pride in Red, on my woods the new white golf pride mulit compound grips. Great Grips :grips
