Idiots coming out of the pro shop and talking at full volume at the top of my back swing. Happened yesterday as I took the club away. Managed to stop, set up again and then the same bloke started talking to his mate as I made my swing. Duck hook OB and just about kept a lid on it. I think the stare was enough of a hint and unsurprisingly they scuttled away. Will be having a quiet word if I see him alone somewhere
 
Gardeners firing up petrol mowers at the top of my backswing, happened to me on the 11th tee on Thursday, carved it right into the trees :sbox:
 
People who go into the Clubhouse for a leak or a drink or whatever, stay in there for 5 minutes or so then walk out and expect to push in front of anyone on their way to the 10th tee.
We don't have a Halfway House where it's almost expected to stop and have a bite - like Bearwood/Sunningdale/Camberley etc so this is totally unncessary and just causes aggro.
 
New members in front that did not put the flag back in on 6 holes. they were to far in front to tell them
 
when someone says " great putt" as the ball just reaches the hole then ...... lips out or slips by.


if they wait a fraction of a second to see what actually happens then im fine with it. say what you want. the above just seems to rub salt into the missed putt wound!

Oops! I left off the 'wink' smiley..... but you got my drift :thup:

Nothing gets my back up, certainly not cruddy trivial things.... I'd rather green keepers set the course up better (perhaps by cutting some of the knee high rough that REALLY causes slow play and not where people leave their bags) and (for example) cut fresh holes more frequently. Crap committees is another thing... but there's nothing an individual player can do that really irritates me... they can chit-chat, jangle their keys in their pocket, walk all over my line - it really doesn't bother me.


Oh yes..... wait.......... cheating!! THAT gets my back up :eek:
 
Players with an inflated view of their own ability and or importance. Those who half-way through a round, start complaining about how last week they could do this, and were doing that. In a competition a guy in my fourball pulled me to the side half-way through a round and said "I'm not normally this bad you know, I'm having very bad luck, you have to understand that, you've got to understand !"

It does my tree in. We all have good and bad rounds, but just shut up and get on with it !
