Do you think he will stay here and play on the European tour or go and join his mates in the states, buy a house over there and play the US PGA tour ?

if its anything like most other sports im connected with, it seems more endorsements are available in the states, with a chance to earn bigger money out there.

taking that into account alone and disregarding the pants weather we have in europe, i hope he coins it in while he can, and if that means living in the states, in the nicer weather, then although it makes no difference what so ever to darren, he has my support 100%.

The life of a pro sportsman can be ended too easily, bank it while you can!

Think he is too setteled with the family in Ireland he has just moved back in the last couple of years after living in England. Read a artical in a paper here last week where he said he is spending more time on the range now than ever before and he will just be happy playing the world golf events and Majors along with a few invites in the states.

Will stay european id say , has won his major & alota the tournaments here mean he can fly the kids out or be home monday (or sat the way he playing) to spend time with them ,,

He moved back to NI for family reasons, and I suspect at the time was thinking of semi-retiring.

I don't think the Open victory has changed any of that, if anything it's will have made that arrangememt easier.

His exemptions/invitiaions as Open Champion means that he doesn't have to worry about tour cards.

So I'll think he'll stay on the European tour but go see the boys for a bit of Craic whenever he fancies it.

A brilliant situation to be in I have to say.

I think he'll stay in Europe. He can pick and choose when he goes to the US for the majors and WGC events (presume hes' in the top 50 now?). It seems to suit guys like Jimenez and I think he's happy playing in Europe so he can get back to his family more regularly

I hope he does stay here, but with the likes of Poulter, Casey, Donald, Rose, Gmac, Rory and now Lee W all across the pond, there wont be many left over here for him to play with. Just his kids :)
