I line up what I think is the correct line - and then switch the brain right off - I honestly don't think about anything while I putt - the body knows what to do as far as length is concerned so lag putts shouldn't be far away - anyone do the same

Yep the same, if only I could get to this state with the rest of my game where I trust it enough!

What do I think about when putting? NOTHING.

Once you have the line, thinking is dangerous. Switch off and let your subconcious do the rest.

A good friend's left boob! Her greeting is now 'How's the putting?'!

Clears my mind. and even if i miss, I'm still smiling!

i like to see how the ball breaks or drops in to the hole , i visualize that then i make sure i set up square to that and concentrate on rolling the ball

Make sure you hit it....... Make sure you hit it..... Make sure you hit it..... Make sure you hit it.....

Sometimes I actually do hit it and it goes in....... I am a terrible long putter, either don't make it to the hole or I power it straight through..... Getting better from about 6ft tho!!

I don't know!!??

I'm sure I'm thinking about how far to hit it but not really aware of it as a conscious thought. Today's match is buggered as ill be thinking about thinking about what I'm thinking about!!!! Thanks a bloody lot!!! ;)

It's another of those Matchplay tricks along the lines of " do you breathe in or out on your back swing"
The moment you start thinking about what you're thinking about - you're in trouble!

Pretty much ideal and what I like to instill in all of my clients

I think about far to much. Best putts are when the mind is quiet but often I have a crazy negative monologue running in my head.

you really need to regognise this think 'STOP' you can have a red dot on the top of the putter grip to help remind you, then replace the negative thought with a positive one, then bury that positive thought deep and putt without thinking of anything.

Can be difficult at first but gets better with practice

"Get it to the hole"
I have a tendency to leave a lot of putts short.

I try and see the ball dropping in the hole in my minds eye and try to make the stroke as subconsciously / with as little thought as possible

I putt my best when I tell myelf I'm going hole it, sounds silly but thinking about nothing but the ball going in the hole makes a huge difference.
I clear all thoughts about missing and believe I'm going to hole it, very hard to do however!
