The Garcia incident tonight reminded me of this picture I have saved that I had forgot about. It shows the difference between Tigers two shots from the (should he be disqualified) event.

To me it doesn't look like there is much in it, what do you think?

Doesn't matter what you or I think, or what the pictures look like. Woods said that it was two yards.

What happened with Garcia?

Good grief

He played a shot, over hit it by a couple of yards, hits the pin and gets wet. He cheats, contravenes the rules, plays a near perfect shot.

Those pics prove nothing, I could produce a pic showing me playing a shot off the roof of my clubhouse, i never have, but I could ;)

Does anyone else think that cameraman looks like he's been photoshopped in, when you look at the first v second?

I took 2 stills from the video I saw below.
The left pic shows the first shot and the right pic shows the second.
You can clearly see in the second pic the divot (which he didn't replace) and the divot hole from the first shot.
No photo shop needed.

those two are clearly from different viewpoints and possibly even different cameras as the depth of field is very different.

Given that the photos in the OP were clearly taken with a very long telephoto lens which will have a considerable foreshortening effect and that he is clearly further back from the reference points marked, I think the pictures actually prove that Tiger was right when he said he dropped behind where he played the first shot from but equally it also possibly helps explain why the Rules Official who reviewed the footage following Eger's call thought it was OK.

So for me the pictures match up with the situation as it has been explained by the Masters Committee, USGA, and R&A.

Dear lord there was about a zillion pages of 'discussion' about this including the 'photograph'. Do we need another thread rehashing it all again?

Am I the only one wondering why this is being rehashed again?

Hasnt it been done to death already

Now the rain has stopped im going outside to paint my fence

Why post if its boring? Surely you would of stopped reading after reading the OP would you not?

My mate sent it me a while back and I just wondered what others thought of the pic?

We have what ball do you use, what colour tee do you use ect every week but we still answer.

Considering you where complaining about it being bought up again this is your 2nd post on the thread so your still checking in on it. Worried you will miss something?

I'm really warming to you Daveyboy, you're beginning to understand the mindset of a typical forumer  they just can't control themselves. I'm sure most probably burnt themselves a lot as children from keep touching the oven

Tiger guilty - but the committee made a mistake. Sergio - guilty but the committee accepted his cheating
