For me it's links golf and the fact that the course can play completely different 2 day running. For instance our 7 th on the winter card is a 450 yard par 4 into the wind yesterday and took a drive a 3 wood and a chip, today was a drive and a 9 iron and that was though the back.

So what do you love about a certain type of course?

My course is on a limestone hill, where the topsoil is inches deep in places, with the rock showing through here & there. We've about 6 trees on the course but a fair bit of gorse & brush so it's not featureless. But the beauty of it is that it's ALWAYS DRY and people cannot believe how good a condition it's in all year round. We've been on temps around 4 times this winter, due to frost & have had proper tees & 18 proper greens throughout. We regularly see refugees from local courses 3 & 5 miles away whose courses are closed due to waterlogging. Being on a hill, the wind always blows, you never play the same course twice. Wouldn't want to play anywhere else day in day out, In love it!

Today it was trees and lakes and swans a swimming on the lakes. One youngster having a bath and loved watching him up close (or her!). Also a few low flying swans - awesome creatures. Mainly I like trees and greenery on my golf course though albeit with the occasional trip to the delights and "history" (purity??) of a links course - I love the seaside :-)

love all golf courses (except coups)- all courses can play completely differently in wind

If I am on a golf course who cares what type it is. Really looking forward to the season starting and the weather improving soon. I do like the challenge of links golf but I don't think I could play one all the time as a member. The iffy bounces after a good shot would grind me down eventually. My preference is for mature heathland courses and the really big parklands with the big oaks.

Just love the different kind of challenges and shot making, course management puzzles that all courses set you, it's all the differences that make each one interesting, harder the track more interesting the game is.

That's the correct answer. I don't have a preference, I just love to play whatever type of course.
Links for me. Landing my ball just before the green and letting it run up to the flag. Or baking hot fairway's and a lovely receptive green. Nothing better.

Any golf is fine by me too.

Links is different morning and afternoon; Parkland is pretty; Heathland is great to walk on.
